Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
CDW/LDW waives damage costs with zero deductible. LDW is CDW + Theft Protection.
  • Can be purchased for US$20.00 - US$40.00 per day.
  • A claim on your personal auto insurance might negatively impact your premiums.
  • The deductible is up to US$500 - US$1,000 if you rely on your personal auto policy.
  • May be some additional accident-related fees.
Roadside Assistance Cover
Covers roadside costs such as towing, fuel and key lockout.
  • Optional at the rental counter for US$10.00 - US$15.00 per day.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI or LIS)
SLI tops up the mandatory minimum liability insurance set to $1m-$2m . More info.

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
Personal Accident Insurance compensates you for personal injuries (including passengers).

Collision Damage Protection
Our Collision Damage Protection (CDP) is equivalent to CDW from the rental companies.
  • You are covered up to $35,000 with a $0 deductible.
  • CDP is primary coverage so it won't impact your personal auto premium (for covered losses up to $35,000s).
  • Damage related charges and administration costs are reimbursed once the claim is approved.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI or LIS)
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI or LIS) provides coverage for damages or injuries you may cause to another person or their property while operating a rental vehicle. The liability coverage provided by the rental car company can be none at all or as low as the state minimum requirement. SLI coverage may also be considerably more than the coverage provided by your personal or business policies. Coverage is valid for rentals in the United States, except rentals that commenced in New York. You are permitted to drive in Canada if the rental was picked up in the United States. The policy provides you with:
  • Up to $1 million of auto liability coverage;
  • Coverage for damage or injuries you cause to another person or their property. It is subject to the same conditions and limitations as the rental agreement and any other underlying insurance.

Take photos before and after

Take photos & videos of the vehicle at both pickup and dropoff. We’ll ask you during the claim to provide these and to provide details of any unfair charges from your rental company.
